Car servicingGarbutt.
Once a vehicle is past its logbook years it still needs a proper service to stay dependable, and that goes double for the work utes and fleet cars that earn their keep around Garbutt. We give them a full general service, fluids and filters done, brakes and safety checked, and a plain note on anything worth watching. We are the workshop you drive past on Dalrymple Road.

Why it matters
A small service nowbeats a big bill later.
Plenty of Garbutt vehicles cop short industrial-estate runs, idling and loads in the back, the kind of work that quietly tires an engine. Keeping on top of servicing holds an older car together through the Townsville build-up and pulls up the small stuff while it is still cheap.
Starts and pulls, every time
Clean oil, fresh filters and an engine that has been properly checked over mean the car fires first turn and has the grunt to do the job, even when February gets sticky.
Trouble flagged early
A full once-over picks up tired brakes, weeping hoses and slow leaks while they are a quick fix, not after they have left a ute off the road and a job behind schedule.
Cheaper to run, worth more to sell
A healthy engine drinks less fuel and lasts longer, and a tidy stamped history props up the resale when you trade the vehicle on.
What you get
What a fullservice covers.
The same thorough job whether it is a runabout, a family wagon or a hard-worked trade ute, petrol or diesel, two-wheel or four-wheel drive.

Common questions
The questionswe hear most.
Still not sure? Give the workshop a call or send a message and we will sort it.
Easily, we are about as local as it gets, parked on the corner of Dalrymple and Bayswater Roads. Most of you just hand the keys over on the way past or use the secure after-hours drop box, and a general service is usually turned around inside the day.
Every six months or 10,000 km is the safe benchmark, whichever shows up first. Older cars, high-kilometre runabouts and utes that work for a living are better off coming in more often than that. Tell us what you drive and how hard it works and we will pin down an interval.
A general service is the right fit once a car is out of warranty or off the manufacturer schedule, a top-to-bottom inspection alongside fresh oil, filters and fluids. A log book service instead follows the handbook exactly so a new-car warranty holds. Unsure which one yours wants? Have a word with us.
Almost certainly, yes. Petrol or diesel, two or four-wheel drive, locally built or imported, from a little Corolla or i30 right up to the Hilux, Ranger and LandCruiser work trucks parked all over the Garbutt estate.
That hangs on the vehicle and what it genuinely needs on the day. You get the figure up front and we never bolt on extras without ringing first. Send the rego through or call 0457 816 890 for a number.
Never without your say-so. If something shows up mid-service we down tools and call you with a clear price before carrying on, so the invoice at pickup is the one you already agreed to.
